Sia Blooms hosts welcoming guests in a Tanzanian village
Safari 友 Rafiki
A friend on the ground
Our story

Built between two continents, run from Arusha

Sia Blooms is a family business. Our directors spent their careers delivering high-end hospitality in Europe and China, then came home to Tanzania to do the same thing here: run trips with care, on time, without cutting corners.

Rafiki means friend in Swahili. The character 友 means the same in Chinese, and both sit in our name for a reason. For years, Chinese travellers arrived in Tanzania and saw the savannah through a layer of language and logistics. We built the bridge: Mandarin-speaking consultants, guides who can explain what you are looking at, and a WeChat thread that answers at 2 a.m. if a flight is delayed.

  • The operator is the guide: we do not resell other people's departures.
  • Fair pay, year-round: crews paid above the local average, not just in high season.
  • Conservation in the itinerary: a share of every booking funds anti-snare patrols and tree planting.

How we work

Six things we do differently

Tanzania only

One country, known street by street and season by season - Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar.

Chinese-speaking team

中文顾问与向导,微信沟通,支持微信与支付宝付款 — from visa forms to the last dinner.

Park fees included

The published price is the price. No gate-fee surprises, no "park entry extra" line at the end.

Crews paid properly

Guides, cooks and porters earn above the local safari average, all year, with proper food and tents on the mountain.

Conservation funded

Anti-snare patrols, orphan elephant care and wild dog monitoring, paid for out of every booking.

Honest advice

If your dates will not deliver the wildlife you want, we say so before you pay a deposit.

The people

Who you will actually deal with

Two directors, one Arusha office and a pool of guides we have worked with for years.

Happy Manjira

Director

Tanzanian-born, with years of high-end service delivery in Europe before coming home. Happy runs operations on the ground, from Arusha to the furthest gate, and holds the team to the standard he learned abroad.

Steve Morris

Director

Two decades in hospitality and travel management across Europe and China. Steve shaped how we host and communicate, and built the bridges that let Chinese-speaking guests feel at home from the first message.

Guest stories

What guests tell us

"我们一家三代参加坦桑尼亚定制游,中文导游非常专业,从签证到落地全程无忧。狮子和角马大迁徙都看到了。"

Li Wei
Shanghai, China

"Our guide spotted a leopard two hundred metres off the track before anyone else in the vehicle had lifted their binoculars. Faultless logistics, and no surprise costs."
